Butt augmentation with fillers injection, also known as non-surgical butt augmentation or the "Brazilian Butt Lift", is a cosmetic procedure that involves injecting dermal fillers into the buttocks to enhance their shape and volume.
The maximum amount of fillers for a single treatment is 70 mls on each side. The butt augmentation is if you have lost weight, you want to fill the dip on the side of your buttocks or simply if you would like to achieve a bigger, rounded bottom.
Procedure
During the treatment, a qualified healthcare professional injects a safe and FDA-approved filler, such as hyaluronic acid or calcium hydroxyapatite, into specific areas of the buttocks to add volume and create a more lifted appearance. The injections are typically performed under local anesthesia and can be completed within a short time frame.
Temporary results
Unlike surgical butt augmentation procedures, which typically involve the use of implants or fat grafting, fillers offer temporary results. The longevity of the results will depend on factors such as the type of filler used and an individual's metabolism. Generally, the effects of dermal fillers for butt augmentation can last between 12 to 24 months, but this can vary.
Enhancing shape and volume
Butt fillers can help improve the overall contour and proportion of the buttocks. They can add volume to create a rounder shape, enhance curves, and provide a lifted appearance. The treatment may be suitable for individuals who desire a subtle enhancement or those who want to correct asymmetry or volume loss in their buttocks.
Considerations and risks
While this non-surgical procedure can be an alternative for those who do not want to undergo surgery, it is essential to consult with a qualified and experienced healthcare professional. They will assess your suitability for the procedure, discuss potential risks, and explain the expected outcomes. Possible risks and complications may include infection, bruising, swelling, allergic reactions, or uneven results.
Recovery and aftercare
The recovery period for butt augmentation with fillers is generally shorter compared to surgical procedures. Some discomfort, swelling, or bruising may occur initially, but these usually subside within a few days. It is advisable to follow post-procedure instructions provided by your healthcare professional, which may include avoiding strenuous activities and applying ice packs to reduce swelling.
As with any cosmetic procedure, it's crucial to have realistic expectations and ensure that you seek treatment from a reputable and qualified healthcare professional or plastic surgeon who has experience in non-surgical butt augmentation techniques. They will be able to assess your individual goals, discuss the risks and benefits, and guide you through the process while prioritizing your safety and desired outcome.
Treatment procedure
Your aesthetician will mark up your hips or buttocks while you are standing and will discuss the desired outcome of the procedure. The aesthetician will lie you down flat comfortably to begin the procedure. Your aesthetics will inject 1 ml Lidocaine into the insertion point by injecting 0.20 ml into the centre and letting that take effect, then use the remaining 2% of Lidocaine to inject along the fan lines. Once Lidocaine has taken effect your aesthetician will begin to inject the fillers into the dermis via a cannula. Once the filler has been injected to the desired amount, any lumps will be massaged out with a sterile gauze.
Aftercare
- Avoid significant movement or massage of the treated area
- Avoid strenuous exercise for ten days
- Avoid sun or heat for 72 hours
- Avoid baths for ten days
- Avoid showering for 48 hours
- No alcohol or salt intake
It is completely normal to have redness, swelling and tenderness around the treated area. If you have swelling apply a cold compress. Use paracetamol for discomfort. Sleep on your stomach, take arnica for the bruising and swelling. If it does not disappear within a few days, contact practitioner. If you have been given antibiotics, please make sure you take the full course. Change first plasters after 48 hours. Once you are able to shower, change the plasters immediately for fresh ones. Massage filler when it starts to feel firm. After 30 minutes, apply a hot compress for 10–15mins to soften then give a strong massage in the direction away from the opening. Drink plenty of water as the fillers will expand three times of its size.
